The Visitation by Jason Jenicke - 4 Framed Options
The Visitation by Jason Jenicke is a delightful piece of framed Christian art that will enhance and beautify any home décor setting.
Note from the Author: Father Vince Kirsche from the St. Lawrence Center in Lawrence, Kansas, first commissioned me to paint this portrait, for many reasons. He wanted a painting that would primarily speak to the youth, symbolic of being welcomed into the church, just as Elizabeth welcomed the visiting Mary. It is also intended to express the importance of the women's role in the church along with showing support for pro-life issues.
Mary is shown touching the belly of the pregnant Elizabeth, since the Scripture passage in Luke 1: 39-45 indicates that upon Mary's greeting, "the baby leapt in her womb." The painting is representative of what the landscape would have looked like and the trails indicate the great distance Mary traveled to reach Elizabeth.
This lovely rendition of a familiar Bible story is by contemporary Catholic artist Jason Jenicke. Our image comes as a fine art print under non-glare glass in an attractive gold solid wood frame, or doubled-matted in medium blue over cream in an attractive gold frame. Handcrafted in Steubenville, Ohio, this beautiful depiction of the meeting of Mary and Elizabeth is sure to be treasured for generations to come!
